Whispering interpreting

Whispering interpreting

During whispered interpreting or ‘chuchotage’, the interpreter sits next to the listener. The interpreter provides a simultaneous translation of what the speaker says. This method requires the interpreter to adopt a discreet position. The translation is whispered so as not to disturb other participants.

Whispered interpretation is very suitable in environments where most participants speak a certain language and only one or a few listeners do not speak or understand this language: for example, in a talk show with a foreign guest or a discussion forum where one member speaks a different language.

A convenient solution is to have the whispering interpreter use a professional whisper system.
